Shiba Inu’s lead developer announces that Shibarium Beta is close at hand

Shiba Inu

Shytoshi Kusama is once again reaching out to the community to give an update on the progress of the second layer solution. This time his tone seems to calm the emotions of frustrated SHIB fans. Formally, this is a very significant assurance.

Beta is close

Twitter users are sharing en masse the statement posted by Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama on Telegram. Circulating online, the screenshot contains a short but rather direct statement:

“Seriously, it’s coming; Beta is close for Shibarium.”

The information reveals that the long-awaited testing phase of Shibarium is about to begin. This fact has caused a stir in the community. However, it is hard not to get the impression that the excitement, however, is getting weaker with each successive news. This is due to a number of assurances and consequent disappointments behind the previously published news.

First and foremost among these was the original timeline for Shibarium to be realized. The team behind the solution, more widely known as Unification, had promised to prove the second layer solution by the end of Q3 2022. However, this proved impossible, and a new date has still not been announced.

Continued disappointments

Further information published by the Shiba Inu team was also disappointing. One of them we reported on a week ago. In an article titled: “Shiba Inu team releases more mysterious tweets, meanwhile another big whale transfer emerges,” we pointed out the timers visible on the profiles of two important figures from Team SHIB. Although they didn’t talk about Shibarium, they led the community into a false hope that these were near. However, the facts turned out to be that the published timers referred only to the new version of the network’s website.

Developer Trophias commented on this fact as follows:

“The first thing is to update our main website. This is much needed and is our first step in the march towards the Beta release of Shibarium. The entire website will not be launched at one time. There will be a gradual rollout, and we will try to make it as smooth as possible.”

SHIB price action

The narrative around Shibarium appears to be waning. The price action is not helped by its lack of information as to an official release date. Putting the community into uncertainty or false hopes doesn’t help either. The result is that the Shiba Inu is clearly weakening and is at the lower limits of its broad consolidation band. At the time of this writing, SHIB is at $0.00000824, barely 13% above the bottom of this year’s bear market.
