Binance US decides to ask community about the identity of the Shiba Inu founder

Binance US, through a survey, is asking its community an intriguing question. Do we know the identity of the founder of Shiba Inu?

Binance with the Shiba Inu survey

In a November 9 tweet, representatives of the U.S. branch of the Binance exchange decided to ask their community whether the community knows who is behind the popular Shiba Inu dog coin. The following answers came up for selection: Satoshi Nakamoto, Vitalik Buterin, Charles Hoskinson, and Ryoshi.

As of 10 hours before the close of voting, 3,500 people had participated in the survey. On this occasion, we decided to take a look at the current results. Below is their current status.

The overwhelming favorite of voters is the character using the nickname Ryoshi. At the moment, she leads the ranking with a score of 54.2%. In second place was Vitalik Buterin, with a result of 22.6%. His high position should come as no surprise to anyone, as repeatedly the Shiba Inu community has suggested that he may be the one behind its favorite coin. Third place goes to Satoshi Nakamoto. His score is also impressive at 19.6%. By far the least likely to win the poll is Cardano’s creator, Charles Hoskinson. He boasts a result of just 3.7%. Hoskinson’s temperament, when juxtaposed with SHIB’s characteristics, seems the least convincing in this case.

Who is Ryoshi?

The question posed by Binance US seems rather perverse. For it has long been known that the creator of Shiba Inu is a character using the pseudonym Ryoshi. However, it remains a mystery whether the exchange’s representatives wanted to test the knowledge of their users with this method, or perhaps to verify whether, in the opinion of the community, another well-known figure is hiding under the Ryoshi nickname.

The topic of Ryoshi was also covered by us. You can read about him in the pages of the article, titled “Who is the creator of Shiba Inu?”

We will only add that his own statement is quoted there, in which he says:

“I have said from the beginning that I am nobody, I am not important. Efforts to unmask my identity, even if successful, would be unconvincing. I’m just some insignificant guy tapping on a keyboard, and I’m replaceable. I am Ryoshi.”

Shiba Inu on the chart

At the time of this writing, Shiba Inu is struggling with similar problems experienced by the entire cryptocurrency market. Strong declines have led to a significant loss in the token’s value and its valuation reaching $0.000009. So far, this has been SHIB’s long-term consolidation area. If market sentiment calms down, this is a reasonable level for renewed consolidation.
