CoinGecko analyzed cryptocurrency trends in Europe based on website visit data, counting from the beginning of the year to July 2023.

The Netherlands contributed significantly to the overall interest in cryptocurrencies in Europe, taking the leading position with 7.30% year-to-date (YTD). This distinguishes the country as the second most cryptocurrency-interested on the continent.

United Kingdom – a model for Europe

A high level of interest in cryptocurrencies is also manifested by the United Kingdom. It has emerged as the leader of the classification. Here it is worth noting that the assets that generate the most interest among investors are Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Other European countries, such as Poland, Germany, Russia, France, Slovenia, Romania, Ukraine, Spain, Ireland, Croatia, Lithuania, Sweden and Italy, also show moderate interest in the market. However, their activity in this area is more varied than that of the Netherlands or the UK.

An example is Africa, where Nigeria has become the main country interested in cryptocurrencies, and Shiba Inu plays an important role there.
