Who is the creator of Shiba Inu?

The identity of Shiba Inu’s creator has long been the subject of much speculation. Who is the famous Ryoshi and what does he do now?

Ryoshi – what do we know about him?

Very little is known about the mysterious creator of one of the most popular cryptocurrencies. He even seems to have chosen an anonymous life, thus imitating Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The first traces of SHIB’s existence date back to August 2020. That’s when the first official mention of Ryoshi appeared. After the meme coin was created, he transferred 50% of its supply to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Buterin himself has since burned some of the coins in his possession and donated another portion to charity. Nonetheless, Vitalik’s exposure to such a sizable number of SHIBs justifiably casts suspicion on him as the man behind the Ryoshi alias.

Whoever the creator of Shiba Inu is, his work did not stop at SHIB alone. He also created LEASH, and is also behind the foundations of the SHI stablecoin. The very idea of Shibarium, which is the second layer of Shiba Inu, was also first published in his original posts. Nonetheless, over time it has decided to disappear altogether.

Ryoshi about himself:

“I have said from the beginning that I am nobody, I am not important. Efforts to unmask my identity, even if successful, would be unconvincing. I’m just some insignificant guy tapping on a keyboard, and I’m replaceable. I am Ryoshi.”

 – These were the words that, until recently, could be read on the Medium blog, whose author was Ryoshi himself. A year after their publication, the blog has completely disappeared. The social profiles through which the famous Ryoshi shared his ideas with the world also disappeared.

It seems that he may have had a particular motivation to do so, as we further read the following:

“Usually, when we see a project, there is some CEO, an important guy and some technical guy and some roadmap.”

The aforementioned people are, in his opinion, considered to be completely responsible, for the future of the project. Moving away from SHIB, Ryoshi made the token clean and decentralized, fully owned by the community at the same time.

Various theories, few facts

Many people have been accused of being “Rysoshi.” One of them was the aforementioned Vitalik Buterin, another Elon Musk. SHIB’s most popular current developer, Shytoshi Kusama, is also suspected. Be that as it may, he continues the creator’s work, working on Shiba Inu Metaverse and Shiba Inu Eternity. However, none of the hypotheses have been confirmed with leads. Ryoshi’s further fate remains a mystery.
