Colin Miles of TZ APAC: Blockchain will be taught in classrooms in 3-5 years

Colin Miles of TZ APAC Blockchain will be taught in classrooms in 3-5 years

Adoption of the blockchain space pioneered by Bitcoin is progressing on an ever-widening scale. As Colin Miles argues, the technology will soon be taught not only in universities but also in high schools.

A partnership of great importance

On Tuesday, May 10, a partnership between TZ APAC and the National University of Singapore (NUS) was announced. Based on this, blockchain Tezos will support the development of a new wing of the university to develop advanced IT activities.

As Colin Miles, newly appointed CEO of TZ APAC, argues:

“If you have a dedicated center at NUS that runs blockchain courses every day of every week for students, that becomes part of the fabric of one of the best IT schools in the world. I imagine most other schools will look at this as an example to follow.”

In his keynote, Miles noted that the adoption progress of blockchain technology is so advanced that in 3-5 years we will see it implemented in the global education system and as early as the high school level.

The blockchain education system has begun, it’s time to continue

The offer of the National University of Singapore currently includes teaching in the blockchain area, aimed at various types of future specialists. There are programs dedicated to CEOs and middle managers, among others. Importantly, there are also several other world-renowned institutions that boast similar offerings. These include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, Oxford University, Cornell University and the University of California Berkeley.

According to Miles, this is just the beginning of a big path:

“Overall, this trend will become dominant as a large number of exciting new jobs are created in the Web3 environment. It is therefore incumbent on educational institutions to help prepare their students for this important change.”

Tezos with increasingly strong foundations

Founded in 2018, blockchain Tezos is trying to take care of its image by getting heavily involved in educational projects. It is supporting TZ APAC in the adoption of the sector. Their partnership with NUS will result in the creation of a special curriculum, the launch of workshops and developer hackathons. This collaboration is also an important step for Singapore. It strengthens the country’s position as a leader in blockchain education in its region.
